Nutrition is important to Aaron everyday, but the stakes are higher on the day of a big race. So what does Aaron eat to make sure he is properly fueled?
“On race day I like to eat a big bowl of oatmeal with some fruit on top,” Aaron said. “The oatmeal sticks with you, but isn’t too heavy, and the fruit adds some flavor and nutrition.”
Hydration is also an important factor for athletes on the day of competition.
“Making sure you’re getting fluids is important,” Aaron said.
“It helps with lactic acid buildup and is crucial to your energy level. That’s why I work with a company like PureSport. It’s a drink that’s really worked for me.”
