Peirsol Leads Off 400M Medley On Way To World Championship

Aaron Peirsol and an American Team made up of Michael Phelps, Eric Shanteau, and Dave Walters, won the 400M Medley World Championship at the 2009 FINA World Swimming Championships. Peirsol led off the medley race with a scorching time of 52.19, and the team broke the previous World Record by over 2 full seconds! This is Aaron’s 4th Gold Medal and 4th New World Record in the past month. Congratulations Aaron on a fantastic World Championships!
